Two people injured in car accident

A 21-year-old man and 18-year-old woman were injured in a one-car crash near Lancaster.

According to officials, both victims suffered serious head and neck injuries. The police say that the two people were driving south when the 18-year-old driver failed to stop at a T intersection and the car she was driving fell into a ditch and rolled on to its hood. The 18-year-old was entrapped in the car and firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free her. There were both transported to the hospital.
