Wisconsin-based semi involved in accident

A 36-year-old driver was involved in a semi-truck accident on I-35 in Lakeville. The accident occurred as the semi driver tried to stop and could not, causing a chain reaction crash.

According to authorities, a 50-year-old woman and a 24-year-old woman were killed in the accident. The 50-year-old died at the scene while the 24-year-old was pronounced dead later that evening at the hospital. The details of the accident are still unclear but it is known that two cars and two semi-trucks were involved in the accident.

One of the semi-trucks was hauling over 7,000 be hives and many emergency responders were stung while trying to help with the accident. A truck was sent to pick up the bees.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of all involved in the accident.
