Fresh Express issues second recall on bags of salad

Fresh Express has issued another recall due to possible E. Coli contamination. There have been no illnesses, but the they were recalled after the Federal Drug Administration randomly tested the bags and they tested positive for the foodborne illness.

The first recall involves the Fresh Express Romaine-based bags of salad with the ‘used by’ dates of May 13-16. These were sold in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and multiple other states.

The second recall involves Romaine bags of salad with the ‘used by’ dates of July 8 through July 12. These were sold in Texas, Wyoming, Utah, South Dakota, and Nevada. Consumers who still have these products should discard of them immediately to avoid the risk of getting sick.
