Girl injured in bicycle and car accident

A 12-year-old girl was injured in a bicycle accident in the town of Alto. She is currently in good condition at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

The accident occurred as the girl was riding her bike with her sister on Hemp Road and the girl swerved in the road to pass her sister. An 83-year-old driver was heading west on the roadway when he veered left to avoid the girls.

The 12-year-old girl then got in front of the man and he struck her from behind. The girl regained consciousness on the scene and was transported to the hospital by Flight for Life.
