Semi-truck rollover accident occurs on Highway 29

Two lanes on Highway 29 were closed after a semi-truck rollover accident occurred in Chippewa County.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred near mile marker 70 on the roadway at 2:46 a.m. when the driver of the semi-truck lost control of the vehicle.

The semi-truck was carrying 36 heads of cattle when the accident occurred and they were let loose as result of the accident. One westbound and one eastbound lane were closed after the accident and he eastbound lane remained closed for nearly six hours while emergency crews cleaned up.
