OSHA investigates fatal construction accident

One man was killed and three were injured in a construction accident in Chippewa Falls, Wis.

The accident occurred just before Christmas at the EOG Resources Inc. sand plant construction site. According to the police department, the 36-year-old man was standing on the cement wall when it collapsed and trapped him underneath.

The man was killed due to the injuries to his head and chest that were sustained in the accident. Three others were also injured in the accident, but the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is now investigating the accident.
