Candlelight ski events cancelled, changed this winter

Posted on Friday, January 6th, 2012 at 6:14 pm

The areas in Southern and Central Wisconsin are seeing less snow fall this winter season than expected.

This decrease in snow flurries has caused the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to reconsider special candlelight ski events that are on the horizon. Throughout January and February there are 30 different scheduled candlelight events.

These events were supposed to take place in several areas including; forests, state parks and trails. If the snow doesn’t come, then some of the events will turn into candlelight hiking events and some have the possibility of being cancelled if the frozen ground of the hiking trail proves to be too dangerous for hikers.

The Wisconsin bicycle accident lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier, S.C. hope that everyone can enjoy special winter events this season while staying safe.
