Critical mistake during delivery prompts family to file lawsuit

A mother in active labor arrived at an Argentinian hospital on April 3 in order to give birth to her daughter. Instead, her and her husband were put through a whirlwind of emotions all due to a medical error.

Once the baby came into the world, she was instantly taken away and not shown to her mother. Grim doctors came back to inform her that her child was stillborn. She was handed a death certificate and left alone. The woman and her husband were persistent in wanting to visit the morgue to say their goodbyes.

When the casket was opened down in the refrigerated morgue, the woman fell over in shock. Her tiny daughter had let out a whimper and was clearly breathing. The baby’s father grabbed the child and rushed her upstairs in order to keep her alive. Five doctors associated with the delivery of this premature baby have been put on suspended leave.

Doctors that are currently helping the newborn  have said that she is in critical condition, but getting stronger on a daily basis. The parents of the girl have plans to file a medical malpractice lawsuit against the hospital.
