A Madison woman driving Sunday morning with her boyfriend and a 19-year-old passenger crashed into the median between John Nolen Drive and South Towne Drive.
According to Madison police, the couple began yelling at each other, prompting the boyfriend to pull the emergency brake while the vehicle was moving at a speed of 60 to 70 miles per hour. Witnesses saw the car begin to fishtail and swerve then crash into the eastbound median.
The three passengers were not injured in the accident. However, the boyfriend was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and the woman was cited for operating after revocation. The 19-year-old was not charged in the incident.
