What are the risks of ATV riding?

All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) have been the focus of negative attention in recent years because of the enormous number of injuries and fatalities they inflict every year, particularly to children. ATVs are four-wheeled vehicles that are capable of traveling across terrain that is not fit for traditional vehicles and they are most often used for sport. However, there are many risks. Studies have found that of all the injuries that children have been treated for in ATV accidents, a 7% are spinal cord injuries. In addition, ATV accidents may result in amputations, fractured bones, head injuries, and more. In 2009, over 100,000 people were admitted to the hospital for ATV related injuries.

If you or a loved one was injured by an ATV accident due to a fault with the vehicle or the negligence of another party, you may be entitled to pursue financial compensation. Contact the Wisconsin ATV accident attorneys of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C., at 800-242-2874.
